About Lauren Johnson

Lauren Johnson is the founder of Retire Happy and a licensed Health and Life Insurance Broker in Arizona, Oregon, Alaska, and Texas, with a background in finance and data analysis.

Before founding Retire Happy, Lauren worked alongside her mother at their family-owned agency, Wirick Insurance, where she was mentored and trained in the health and life insurance industry. There, she helped clients navigate complex coverage decisions and managed a large book of business across multiple insurance carriers. Working closely with retirees and families facing rising healthcare costs inspired her passion for helping people build financial strategies that bring confidence and freedom to their retirement years.

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business. Her earlier career includes serving as a Financial Analyst at Intel Corporation, where she specialized in budgeting, analysis, and process improvement, as well as interning with the Center for Arizona Policy, where she gained insight into how public policy impacts financial planning and everyday life.

Blending her analytical background with a people-first approach, Lauren helps clients simplify the complex and make confident, informed decisions about their future. She believes retirement planning should be approachable, empowering, and built around each person’s definition of happiness.

When she’s not working with clients, Lauren enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her family (and coffee in hand). Her philosophy is simple: retirement should be about freedom, not finances—and with the right plan, everyone can Retire Happy.
